Staff from Kirklees College’s Huddersfield Centre have relocated to the fantastic new building at the Waterfront Quarter on Manchester Road.
The new building will open to students in September, and will host enrolment throughout August.
Boasting a range of state-of-the-art facilities, the new centre will provide one of the highest quality learning environments in the north. As this year’s results are finalised, it’s expected that the college’s impressive success rate will continue into its third year running and position the college in the top 10 per cent of general further education colleges nationally.
Melanie Brooke, vice principal at Kirklees College said, “We’re in the very last stages of our phased move from New North Road to the Waterfront Quarter.
“The fit out is going to schedule with furniture arriving daily. The finishing touches, such as the signage, colour coded paintwork, lighting and blinds are underway and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of students through the doors for enrolment this August.
“The kitchens and salons require more finishing and fit out work than a standard classroom due to the nature of the teaching and learning environment they create, but these are looking great and will be very impressive when they are fully finished for the new term.
“The whole building is looking fantastic and staff are settling in really well.”
Enrolment takes place from 20-31 August at centres across Kirklees.
The new address, which can be used from August is Kirklees College, Huddersfield Centre, Waterfront Quarter, Manchester Road, Huddersfield, HD1 3HH.
