This week, Kirklees College has opened its doors to hundreds of people to enrol onto part time courses at its new Huddersfield Centre at the Waterfront Quarter.
The eagerly anticipated enrolment sessions will run through until Friday 30 August, recruiting the 2013-14 intake at Kirklees College centres in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
As the queues formed outside the college’s new building, staff were busy preparing for the year ahead. This year the college will deliver a huge range of part time and full time courses along with Apprenticeships and higher education courses, teaching in the region of 18,000 students over the year.
Open or ‘walk in’ enrolment for full time courses takes place in the new Huddersfield Centre and the college’s Brunel House which specialises in construction next week, along with open enrolment for full time courses at the Dewsbury Centre.
Enrolment for part time courses, for leisure and qualifications takes place from Tuesday 20 August, and continues through until 30 August.
With a vast range of courses to choose from, and places still available on the full time courses for those who have just received GCSE results, Kirklees College can provide a great education and work-related skills to give you the best chance to succeed.
Principal Peter McCann said, “I’m really pleased to see so many people coming through the doors, and I look forward to welcoming many more over the next few weeks. The staff have worked incredibly hard to provide a great curriculum offer this year and have excellent knowledge in their sectors. Coupled with our fantastic new Huddersfield and Engineering centres, and our specialist centres spanning Kirklees, we’re sure that students will receive the best experience with us.”
